Indian team fitness coach Shankar Basu retires as coach from the Indian cricket team as he said to the team management that he needs a break.
Along with Fitness coach, team India physio, Patrick Farhat also retires from his post as he shared this with the team management that after world cup he will no longer be a part of the team.
After the defeat in Semi-Finals against Newzealand, Patrick shared an emotional farewell message on Twitter for the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) and the Indian players.
The Australian joined the team in 2015 after almost three decades of professional experience.
Virat Kohli also tweeted after Patrick's emotional message and thanked him and Basu for their service in the team.
Patrick's character is well known to all the cricket fans who follow Indian cricket team closely. He is a comic character with all the flavors and ingredients required.
He was with the team for almost 4 years and shared a good bonding with the teammates.
